The SurveyorMates is a great companion to support your survey. It is consists of the following software:
1. Draft Survey
Draft Survey to determine total cargo loaded/unloaded on board the vessel correspondent to draft mark reading.
For easy calculation, we divide by two (2) models of Draft Survey:
Draft Survey with Manual Input Hydrostatic Table, means you do need to input some hydrostatic data in each survey you do.
Draft Survey with Automatic Input Hydrostatic Table, this is once time hydrostatic data input for each vessel.
As well, the Draft Survey was included :
– Ballast and Fresh water sounding and calculation.
– Fuel Oil and Diesel Oil with automatic calculation based on ASTM Table 54B.

2. Bunker Calculation
The OilCal software is use for tanker ship ullage calculation or petroleum survey to calculated the quantity both crude oil and product oil. The calculation is correspondent to ASTM Table 6, 6B, 54 and 54B. You will get four (4) tables of calculation result in one time survey.

3. Oil Calculation / Petroleum Survey

Bunker Survey Calculation

In my last post How To Conduct Bunker Survey, I have explained the general step for Bunker Survey conducts. Now, the topic is about the way to calculate ship bunker that we have found on the ship tanks. It is suggested to read the last post to become familiar with calculation.
Bunker Survey

The bunker calculation is simple and needs the following:

– Tank Sounding data and Tank Capacity Table. The Corrected Sounding means below is the sounding after correcting with vessel’s trim and list.

– Temperature of Oil on Tanks,

– Oil Density @15C,

– Table ASTM 54B (VCF) and Table ASTM 56 (WCF).

Now we could go with sample of 1 tank to test the calculation.
